a.k.a. John Tinkler

Nickname derived from the Rutland Model Club calling us, 'The Grantham Mafia'. As John is the erstwhile leader of this merry bunch of deviants, he was subsequently christened the 'The Godfather'.
It is not exactly known when the modelling disease struck, but it is said it was long before Noah was a twinkle, and rumour has it, since God was a lad!
Main interests are USAF, F104 and Vietnam. It has been noticed that there was (allegedly) an aberration that resulted in a 1/72 Rodan Felixstowe FE2 flying boat being purchased. However this may be entirely unfounded and without corroboration and it has yet to see the light of day in completed form.
It is however known that he has a very unhealthy interest in F-111's. None have actually been seen in completed model form for some considerable time, as currently the assembly line consists of a 1/48 B1-B, F-15E, and in the near future (allegedly before everyone's demise) a Hurricane IV.
A recent acquisition of an 1/48 MPM Heinkel 177 has not helped matters and it remains to be seen if this also becomes loft insulation.
Never been know to refuse the falling down water and has a personal interest in the production of Paracetamol, Rennies and Diocalm.
Has just completed "Rosemary's Place". A purpose built modelling refuge in the back garden. Better known as the shed.
Considerable investment this last year in both loft insulation and equipment. So no excuses for not producing some more stunning creations !
Further changes in sleeping arrangments in the household during the summer with the arrival of the Scud. Better known as Jack. The old boy is doing well (as is Nursey) a growing at a hell of a rate. Won't be long now before he is on his first Airfix kit.
