a.k.a.  Chris Clay

Nickname derived from an interest in 1/43 racing cars. Christened by the Godfather after  one time F1 racer, Clay Regazzoni, who had the nearest namesake. (although some say he looks more like Smiffy!)

A fairly recent member of the esteemed group.

Been making models since around the age of nine or there about's. Started like most of us in UK with 1/72 Airfix, before migrating on to just about any manufacturer that produced plastic models kit.

Stopped making plastic models in the mid 80's as there was nowhere to display or store them, but unfortunately continued to purchase them in the false hope that one day.................!

Started to make ultra brail scale 1/43 scale cars and has continued to do so ever since. Specialising in Formula One, Jaguar Competition, Porsche 917, Gulf Research and Chaparral cars. Now has a huge collection, well into the high hundreds both finished and 'to do'.

Returned to making aircraft mid 2005, largely because of the bad influence from Torpedo.

Still holds the club record for turning profit into loss!

Turning more attention to 1/48 aeroplane's, and even worse there appears to be not just an Italian theme on the horizon, but more obscurely decorated WW2 aircraft. Watch this space...........
